Design Review 1
Reception at FLTC 302 with presentations in FLTC 302 and FLTC 304
Design Review 1 is the first milestone presentation of the Sling Health year. Each team presents the background of the clinical problem they are tackling, the commercial opportunity, patent search findings, and preliminary design requirements to a panel of mentors for feedback. Jimmy John's will be provided.

Winter Planning Session
FLTC
The Winter Planning Session is open to every Sling Health member, not just current teams. Teams map out their milestones through Design Review 2, and any member can learn how to take an idea of their own forward, from forming a team to applying to venture competitions and funding programs like those from the Skandalaris Center and the Holekamp Seed Fund. Bring your team's next steps or an idea you want to launch. Food will be provided.

Open Studio
FLTC
Open Studio is a one-hour working session a week before Design Review 2, open to every Sling Health member, not just current teams. Teams run through their presentations and get feedback on design requirements, concept selection, prototype progress, and regulatory pathway before presenting to mentors. Members who want to launch a team, venture, or idea of their own are welcome to come see what a design review asks for and get feedback on where to start. Food will be provided.

FLTC
Design Review 2 is the second milestone presentation of the Sling Health year. Each team presents its refined design requirements, the concepts it has considered and selected, early prototype progress, and a preliminary regulatory pathway to a panel of mentors for feedback. Food will be provided.

Come explore what our teams are working on at Sling Health Problem Day! Team leads will showcase their healthcare problems through posters and walkthroughs in the FLTC Atrium. Meet teams, connect with mentors, and walk around to see the different problems being tackled across Sling Health. Mentors can share feedback, and everyone can learn from other teams and ideas. Plus, there will be Jimmy John's sandwiches!

Welcome to Sling Health
FLTC 304
Come learn what Sling Health is all about! Grab some food, meet our current teams and executive board, and connect with some of the most innovative students and physicians in St. Louis. The evening will feature a special talk by Dr. Joe Klaesner, Professor of Practice in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University and leader of the senior design class. While teaching senior design, he was chosen as a top innovator in St. Louis by Alive Magazine (2015). Dr. Klaesner has advised numerous student teams in the past that have gone on to achieve incredible things and launch successful ventures. Bring your ideas, explore opportunities to network and discuss ideas with peers, business, engineering, and medical students, residents, and physicians, and see how you can turn a healthcare problem into a real startup. Whether you already have an idea or just want to learn more, come hang out, network, and meet the Sling Health community.
