SelectIVF

Embryologists primarily rely on morphological grading to select embryos for IVF, yet embryos that appear nearly identical under a microscope can have significantly different developmental and implantation potential. Spent embryo culture medium contains promising molecular biomarkers for embryo viability, but their extremely low concentrations and background interference have prevented the development of standardized detection methods for routine clinical embryo selection.

The solution

SelectIVF is developing a standardized, non-invasive molecular profiling platform that transforms routinely discarded embryo culture medium into biological insights. By integrating a low-background reference medium, microfluidic biomarker isolation, sensitive molecular detection, and analytical software, SelectIVF aims to provide embryologists with molecular information that supports more informed decisions about which embryo to transfer.
